Ombré vs Microblading – Which technique is best for you?
Fortunately, you don’t have to spend hours in the mirror perfecting Insta-worthy eyebrows. Services such as Microblading and Ombré (Powder) have elevated brow design into an art form, and our certified practitioners are the artists. Ultimately, which service you choose will depend on your skin type and condition and the look you’re after. Whether you want beautiful, natural-looking brows, or want to make a bold statement with extra oomph, read on to find the style that’s right for you.
Microblading: Finely applied individual strokes resembling individual hairs.
Ombré: Small dots of pigment to create a soft “powdered” look with darker tails and lighter front.
Microblading: If you have sparse, fine or over-tweezed brow hair and want a more natural appearance. Best for normal and combination skin types.
Ombré: If you have existing brow hair and want to fill in your brows. The look is bolder and dramatic. This technique is good for all skin types.
Staying Power (with proper care):
Microblading: Lasts between 1-3 years. Requires more touch-ups than ombré brows. Results are waterproof and smudge-proof.
Ombré: Lasts between 1-3 years (2 is average). Results are waterproof and smudge-proof.
Still can’t decide? Why not try both! The “Shade+Blade” technique includes both Ombré at the base of the brows and Microblading to add additional fine hairs for depth and dimension. Check our Service Menu for full pricing details.
